During my time working in both primary care treatment (rehabilitation for addiction and mental health) and secondary care (sober living programs), I witnessed many stories of growth—and some deeply painful setbacks.

One moment that has stayed with me was watching a client who had done incredibly well during treatment. They stayed in inpatient care for over four months, worked hard on their healing, began to rebuild self-worth, and truly embraced the process. There was so much hope.

But just within one month after leaving treatment, that same client relapsed. And the relapse was severe—so severe, it nearly cost them their life.

I was heartbroken. I blamed myself for days.

“Did I do enough?”“Could I have prevented it if I had just checked in more?”“Would daily support have made a difference?”

That experience taught me something profound: No matter how much someone learns in treatment, the real challenge begins after they leave. The transition back into everyday life—back into the same environment, stress, and relationships—is where relapse often strikes.

And this critical phase of recovery is often the most unsupported.

That’s why I created the three-month outpatient sober living coaching program at CoKind Therapy.

This program is designed to bridge the gap between treatment and real life. It offers hands-on support, daily structure, and emotional guidance for those who have just completed primary or secondary care and are now trying to apply what they’ve learned. We focus on everything from sober routines and self-care to emotional regulation, relapse prevention, and reconnection with purpose.

You don't have to do it alone. Recovery is not just about surviving treatment—it's about learning to live again. And I’ll walk beside you every step of the way.
